Further Education Tuition Fees
These are the tuition fees charged for our Foundation Diploma in Art and Design courses. This page also includes the tuition fees for other Further Education courses offered specifically to students with International fee status.
This page does not include information on tuition fees for students on the Foundation Studies in Performance course, which can be seen separately on its course page.
Tuition fees for 2016-17
These are the total tuition fees for courses taking place in the 2016-17 academic year, which depend on a student's fee status (Home/EU or International) and age.

These fees are for the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design only.

Concessionary fee: there is no tuition fee, but students must pay a £130 registration and examination fee.
The concessionary fee applies to students who do not already hold a full Level 3 qualification as shown in the declaration form below. Students must sign this form and take it to their enrolment event at the start of their course.

Tuition fees for 2015-16
These are the total tuition fees for courses taking place in the 2015-16 academic year, which depend on a student's fee status (Home/EU or International) and age. The fees below do not include fees a student may need to pay during their course, such as materials fees.
These fees are for the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course only.

Free, no registration or examination fees
19 to 23: Standard fee
£3,900 (+£130 registration fee)
19 to 23: Students studying their first full Level 3 qualification
Those studying on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course, who do not already have a full Level 3 qualification, are not charged tuition fees. The Level 3 Declaration Form below lists full Level 3 qualifications. If you do not hold one of these qualifications, you will need to sign the declaration and take the form to enrolment.
19 to 23: Students in receipt of specified benefits
Those studying on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course, who are receiving Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (work-related activity group), are only charged a concessionary tuition fee of £10, rather than the standard fee shown above. You will need to provide evidence of your benefit entitlement at enrolment by showing a letter of confirmation or proof of payment. If you wish to speak to discuss your eligibility for benefits when studying your course, please contact the Student Advice Service.
19 to 23: Students from a lower income household
Those studying on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course, or the Foundation Studies in Performance course, who have a household income of less than £25,000 per year, may be able to apply for fee remission. This is a reduction in the standard fee charged. If awarded, you will only be charged 50% of the standard fee shown above. Fee Remission application forms are posted to students in the summer before their course starts. The deadline to return your application is 4 weeks after the course start date.
24 or over
£5,290 (+£130 registration fee)
Students studying on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course may be able to apply for a loan to cover tuition fees. More details on our 24+ Advanced Learning Loan page.
These fees are for the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, and other Further Education courses which are offered only to students with International fee status.
£11,700 (+£130 registration fee)
Students from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man are charged the same as students with International fee status.
