Further Education Tuition Fees

These are the tuition fees for the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, along with courses offered specifically to students with International fee status.

This page does not include information on tuition fees for students on the Foundation Studies in Performance course, which can be seen separately on its course page.

Tuition fees for students starting a Further Education course (including Foundation Diploma in Art and Design) in the 2018/19 academic year will appear here immediately after they have been confirmed.

Tuition fees for 2017/18

These are the total tuition fees for courses taking place in the 2017/18 academic year, which depend on a student's fee status (Home/EU or International) and age.

Home / EU

These fees are for the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design only. Due to government regulations, they depend on the student's age on 31 August 2017.

£5,290 (+ £130 awarding body registration fee)

Note that:

  • Students may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the full cost of the tuition fee and awarding body registration fee
  • Students aged 19-23, who do not already hold a full level 3 qualification, would not be charged a tuition fee. The £130 awarding body registration fee would still be charged, and you would not be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover this cost. Further information about this will appear here soon.
