Gowns & Photography
Find out about ordering your gown and photography and video recording services.
All students graduating at the Awards Ceremonies must wear UAL academic dress. You will not be permitted to cross the stage if you are not wearing academic dress. This is available for hire or purchase direct from the Ede and Ravenscroft website.
When you enter the Ede and Ravenscroft website you must search for 'University of the Arts London' not the College you are attending. You then need to search for your qualification level (i.e. Bachelors or Masters) to ensure you order the right hood. Make sure you know your head circumference, chest measurements and height and have your debit/credit card ready before telephoning or ordering online.
You are strongly encouraged to book your gown on the same day that you register for your ceremony. If you miss the deadline, you will have to queue for longer and there are no guarantees that they will have your size available. An extra charge is also made if the robe has not been booked on time.
You will be sent an email confirming your gown hire which includes your gown reference number. You will need to print out and present this email to the Ede & Ravenscroft staff at the ceremony in order to collect your gown or you can show the staff your reference on your smartphone.
Beneath the robes, graduates are expected to dress smartly for this formal occasion. National dress is encouraged, provided that the robes can be worn over them.
Photography and video services
MyGraduationfilm.com offers a recording of your ceremony on DVD. This begins with a short introduction about the University with images of the Colleges. It then continues into the ceremony. They also offer still photographs of your moment on the stage. You will be able to order DVDs on the day or via their website where a paper option is available to print.
You can order your photography now if you wish via Ede and Ravenscroft website. You can also order on the day or make changes to your order where necessary.
Graduates will be able to order their photographs at the time of registration or can update or change their order on the day. Alternatively they can have the pictures on the day without pre-booking.
Guests may take 'still' photographs during the ceremony although not in front of the stage as this may interfere with the DVD recording. The use of video cameras by guests is prohibited.
