Sketch House

Sketch House is a brand new development exclusive for UAL Students. Based right in the heart of Finsbury Park, this is a perfect location for students wishing to be close to central London in a lively community.

About Sketch House

Sketch House's interior is inspired by the artist community in the area. There are 430 ensuite bedrooms available for UAL students and each flat cluster will be shared between 5-10 students. There are also 45 studios available with a double bed, a kitchen and an ensuite facility.

Location

Finsbury Park is a very cultured and unique part of London and a perfect setting for Sketch House.

Next to Underground and National rail stations and adjacent to the large park, we are sure the UAL students here will be excited by their north London surroundings. Within walking distance are an array of cafes, bakery’s and bars, including the famous Park Theatre café bar.

What’s more, it is on the Victoria line which makes it a perfect location to travel to our central colleges like London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins.

Prices and sizes

Sketch House has a variety of room sizes. Tenancies at Sketch House are available for 42 and 51 weeks, and that these prices are for the academic year beginning in September 2016.

Standard rooms:

  • Standard rooms (42 weeks) are £185 per week, £7,770 in total. These rooms are 14.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Standard rooms (51 weeks) are £176 per week, £8,976 in total. These rooms are 14.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Standard rooms with low lighting (42 weeks) are £183 per week, £7,686 in total. These rooms are 14.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Standard rooms with low lighting (51 weeks) are £174 per week, £8,874 in total. These rooms are 14.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds. 

Large rooms:

  • Large Room (42 weeks) is £187 per week, £7,854 in total. These rooms are 16.2m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Large Room (51 weeks) is £178 per week, £9,078 in total. These rooms are 16.2 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Large Room with low lighting (51 weeks) is £176 per week, £8,976 in total. These rooms are 16.2m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.

Premium rooms:

  • Premium room (42 weeks) is £191 per week, £8,022 in total. These rooms are 18.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Premium room (51 weeks) is £183 per week, £9,333 in total. These rooms are 18.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds.
  • Premium room with low lighting (51 weeks) is £181 per week, £9,231 in total. These rooms are 18.4 m2 and under and have 3/4 size beds. 

Studios:

  • Studio (42 weeks) is £235 per week, £9,870 in total. These rooms are 19.8 m2 and under and have double beds.
  • Studio (51 weeks) is £226 per week, £11,526 in total. These rooms are 19.8 m2 and under and have double beds.
  • Studio with low lighting (51 weeks) is £224 per week, £11,424 in total. These rooms are 19.8 m2 and under and have double beds.
  • Studio mobility adaptable (51 weeks) is £178 per week, £9,078 in total. These rooms are 28.2 m2 and under and have double beds.
  • Studio with low lighting and mobility adaptable (51 weeks) is £176 per week, £8,976 in total. These rooms are 28.2 m2 and under and have double beds.
  • Premium studio (51 weeks) is £230 per week, £11,730 in total. These rooms are 29.6 m2 and under and have double beds.

 

Room sizes

Sizes are for guidance only, as rooms may vary. The price of a room depends on many factors such as location within the building and available natural light. That means that a more expensive room is not necessarily larger, or a smaller room cheaper. Please speak to one of our expert Accommodation advisors if you require any further clarification.

Information for students with disabilities

Sketch House has the following features for disabled students: 

  • purpose built adapted studios and standard rooms with wheelchair access, and adapted kitchens and bathrooms
  • a series of emergency call points located on site
  • flashing alarm beacons available in one mobility adaptable room and disabled toilet.
  • accessible toilets located in the common rooms and main reception, equipped with emergency cords
  • wheelchair access into the building including lift access to all floors
  • portable "Deafgard" alarm units for hearing impaired residents.
