Diet and Physical Wellbeing
Are you living on a tight budget? Holding down a hectic lifestyle? Food may be the last thing on your mind. However, making sure you eat properly can improve your concentration, energy, motivation, emotions and general health.
Here are a few ideas to help
- Where possible, try to get together with friends/flatmates and take it in turns to cook for each other. Keep stocked up with cheap staple foods such as rice, pasta & noodles, then buy fresh veg / meat or fish as you need it.
- Avoid relying on convenience or fast foods, they are unsatisfying and give you little nutritional value.
- Make the effort to cook a decent meal, rather than snacking on whatever comes to hand.
- Try to eat at least five portions of fresh fruit, fruit juice or vegetables a day.
- Drink plenty of water through the day.
