Online Self Help Resources

As well as indvidual counselling appointments, workshops and self help information, a number of on-line resources and programmes are available.

Living Life to The Full

A self-help life skills course. Modules on problem solving and anxiety.

 

Students Against Depression

Developed in consultation with students affected by depression, low mood or suicidal thoughts. Includes stories and suggestions as well as self-help strategies.

 

MoodGYM

An interactive programme which incorporates cognitive-behaviour therapy for preventing and coping with depression.

 

E-Couch

A self help programme with modules for social anxiety and generalised anxiety as well as depression.

 

BlueBoard

An on-line support group for people affected by depression, bipolar disorder or anxiety disorder. It aims to reduce stigma, provide support, hope and opportunities for sharing successful coping strategies.

Information about depression and treatment.

 

Samaritans

24 hour confidential support for people experiencing distress or despair by telephone, email letter and face to face.
