Senior Research Fellow: Archives

London College of Fashion

In her role as Senior Research Fellow: Archives, Susanna Cordner manages the Fashion Archives here at LCF. She was formerly both a researcher for fashion exhibitions and an Assistant Curator of Textiles and Fashion at the V&A, and continues to support ‘Undressed: a brief history of underwear’, the exhibition she worked on most recently, alongside her role at LCF.

On her MA in Art History and Museum Curating at the University of Sussex, Susanna specialised in fashion curating, and wrote her dissertation, ‘Defining a Discipline: Creating and Curating Fashion History at the V&A’, on the development of practices in the display and study of dress. She continues to have a particular interest in the history of fashion collecting and display practice.

Here at LCF, Susanna is interested in developing the ways in which the archives are thought about and used, and in promoting object based study as an important source point for inspiration and research. To learn more about the archives and the new public programme inspired by them, please visit the web page or look for updates on the CfFC blog.
