Sustainable heritage and innovation for future luxury

Central Saint Martins

Through practice-based research I will investigate new meanings of value for luxury goods. Utilising the notion of a journey between London and Venice as a metaphor, I will explore three areas: digital technology, craft and sustainability. I aim to identify commonalities between these three areas, which are usually seen as inimical, in order to arrive at a new model for sustainable luxury design.

I will use this model to create luxury goods that combine notions of emotionally durable design and interaction design, to posit new definitions of value within the luxury sector.
