The State of Being a Woman: A Phenomenological Identity

Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW)

This practice-led research explores the structure of experience, using a theoretical feminist phenomenological perspective in relation to a sculptural installation practice.

How might a concept of a phenomenal woman change the way in which we think of identity? Representation, materiality, and experience are central elements to the ontological questions of the nature of space and time, about the subject of women.

The research is a confrontation, an enactment, and embodiment. It challenges the hierarchy of knowledge by un-doing, un-knowing and interrogating rational.
