Designing narrative product interactions
Central Saint Martins
This practice-based PhD looks at enhancing the user's experience of interacting with a physical (non-digital) object through the application of narrative storytelling techniques derived from film. The aim is to design physical domestic objects that communicate a narrative to users from the first interaction between user and object.
A further aim of the project is to devise and illustrate a series of narrative design methods to broaden product design practice and contribute to innovation in the design of physical objects.
