The application process
We recommend that you use the website to explore the many different research areas in which the University of the Arts London specialises prior to making your application and consider each college and its specialisms carefully. You can consult college research web pages for further information on the research undertaken at the University:
- CCW Graduate School (encompassing Chelsea, Camberwell and Wimbledon Colleges of Art):
- Central Saint Martins Research
- London College of Communication Research
- London College of Fashion Research
It is also recommended that you look at the staff research profile pages to find out more about the research expertise of our world class researchers.
We encourage you to identify and contact your potential supervisors during the application development process. They can give you some valuable input as to the relevance and shaping of your proposal.
The application should be submitted electronically to researchdegrees@arts.ac.uk.
Once the application is received it will be reviewed by a panel for selection to interview. Candidates who are selected will then be invited to interview to discuss their proposal and supervision requirements.
Candidates who are accepted will be sent an offer following the interview pending confirmation from the Director of Studies. Enrolment takes place in September/October every year.
