Archives & Special Collections Centre
The Centre's unique design and environment, based on the film 2001: A Space Odyssey directed by Stanley Kubrick, includes facilities for researchers to view film, use laptops and see a sample of our holdings in display cases.
The Centre was opened in October 2007 and has since received over two thousand visitors from the UK and overseas. The largest collection held at the Centre is the Archive of the late Stanley Kubrick. To read an article about the collection, published by the University before its arrival please click here.
We are committed to working with other holders of archives and special collections at the University. Currently we are working in partnership with Wimbledon College of Art to catalogue the Jocelyn Herbert Archive, details can be found on our current projects page.
For information on visiting us and making an enquiry, collection holdings, themed highlights featured in the picture gallery and current projects please use the menu to the left.
