Who Can Use the Space?

Students

Current University of the Arts London students can use the Learning Zone.

Please remember to bring your ID card to get into the building and to borrow any of our equipment! 

Staff

Academic staff invited by students to participate in informal sessions are welcome. Staff who are experimenting with alternative methods of teaching and learning are also welcome to use the space by appointment.

The Learning Zone cannot be used for staff meetings, staff are also not allowed to borrow any equipment or book any resources to preserve the student-focus of the resource.

Alumni

Alumni who are members of the Alumni Association are welcome to visit the Learning Zone by appointment .

Please note that due to licensing restrictions Alumni cannot use any of the Learning Zone IT provision. 

External Visitors 

External Visitors who are students at another UK Higher Education institution (for example, those on the UK Libraries Plus scheme) must obtain access cards from one of the six UAL College Libraries. No access cards are processed at the Learning Zone.

External Visitors who wish to visit the Learning Zone to look at how the service operates may do so by appointment .

Children

Children who are closely supervised AT ALL TIMES by a responsible adult may make a short visit to the Learning Zone. Children must be kept under close supervision at all times as our space contains items and objects not designed for use by children. This supervision responsibility cannot be delegated by the responsible adult to anyone else.

If a student needs to bring their child on site on a more regular basis then they will need to arrange access requirements. A request MUST be sent to the Learning Zone (for the attention of the Learning Zone manager) prior to any need arising.
