Paola Camacho – MDes Service Design Innovation

MDes Service Design Innovation (now MA Service Experience Design and Innovation) graduate Paolo tells us about what she has been working on and her experience of studying at London College of Communication.

Where are you from in the world? 

Colombia.

What are your fondest memories of LCC?

Meeting people from all around the world and learning about their cultures. Also, travelling with my teachers to new places!

What are you working on/where are you working at the moment?

I am working as an Experience Designer Consultant at Thoughtworks in London.

Name three things you couldn't be creative without:

Paper, pen and people.

If you could collaborate creatively with anybody in the world who would it be?

I would like to collaborate with a person with a neuroscience background.

Tell us about your future plans and ambitions:

I would like to work for a few years and at some point open my own company, back home in Colombia or wherever.

What drives you to succeed?

The possibility of improving people’s lives through design.

What three words would you use to best describe LCC?

Diversity, creativity and inspiration.

What piece of advice would you give to new students?

Take as much as you can from your tutors and classmates.

Where in London do you go when you need a little inspiration?

No specific place, inspiration is all around, you just need to look at the world with different lenses.
