Taught in some of the best-maintained facilities in London, this hands-on course will introduce you to the equipment and techniques used for printed textiles. Through a series of workshops and demonstrations, you will explore a wide variety of print and dye processes used in the industry.

This course provides an inspirational and insightful introduction to print and dye processes widely used in the textile industry, either for fashion or interiors.

This is initially an explorative experimental sampling course, but you will further develop your understanding of the processes by printing your own self-directed design. Tutors will be able to give tailored advice based on your own particular creative goals.

Course Outcomes

Materials

Students will need to bring in note taking material, apron or old t-shirt. Paper will be provided, but you may wish to purchase your own specialist printing paper. Plastic storage containers with lids are useful to prolong ink shelf life.
