Design for Interaction is a hot subject, but can be difficult to access. Max is a user-friendly visual programming language, that connects sound, video and OpenGL (3d graphics), network communication, sensors and more.
After a short introduction, you will learn how to modify already-made Max patches (programmes) to play, manipulate and interact with video- learning as you create.

Nicolas Marechal has a BA in directing and editing from the Institute of Broadcasting Studies (Belgium) and an MSc in Electronic Imaging from the University of Dundee.
He has exhibited internationally using Max software as his main tool. His latest work, soundscape, was a space audio interface in collaboration with sound artist Peter Crusak.
He has been teaching Max and interactive technologies to design students at the London College of Communication for the last four years.
