Case Study: Wayfinding
LCC students produce wayfinding signage for Elephant and Castle.
As part of LCC Talent Works, MA Graphic Media Design graduate Luc Bernay designed a website for Elephant and Castle’s pop-up community garden Grow Elephant.
Grow Elephant is a mobile community garden that will relocate as development takes place at Elephant and Castle. The garden is tucked away off the New Kent Road so a website is an important way to let people know they are there.
LCC matched Grow Elephant with MA Graphic Media Design graduate Luc Bernay who designed a website to keep members and the community up to date, featuring hand drawn illustrations of the garden. The website reflects the quirky and unique nature of Grow Elephant.
LCC Talent Works is a programme to give recent LCC graduates paid freelance jobs with social enterprises, charities and community groups. It helps our graduates make their first step in a creative career, while supporting social organisations who can’t access the high quality design and communications talent they need to grow.
