Posters, leaflets, reports and brochures are often an important way for an organisation to communicate with users, donors, volunteers and the general public.
At LCC, courses including BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design and the Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate in Design for Visual Communication produce graduates who specialise in printed material design.
Bloomfield Learning Centre
Bloomfield Learning Centre teaches children with specific learning difficulties, from low income families. Without Bloomfield Learning Centre many of these children would never learn to read. Funding from parents and schools doesn’t meet the costs, so Bloomfield Learning Centre needs to fundraise. Fiona Board, a graduate from our Postgraduate Certificate Design for Visual Communication course, designed a fundraising leaflet to reach out to new donors and raise vital funds.
Rewrite fights prejudice and injustice by bringing together young people from different backgrounds through the power of drama and creative writing. They needed an annual report that better reflected what they do and Postgraduate Diploma Design for Visual Communication graduate Yael Tur-Shalom designed it for them.
The Dockland Settlements
The Dockland Settlements have a well-used community centre in Rotherhithe, but needed clearer printed materials to communicate in such a busy environment. Fiona Gather-Stammel, Postgraduate Diploma Design for Visual Communication graduate, designed a range of easily adapted posters.
