The Journalism department offers resources across three dedicated areas: the Newsroom, Media Lab and Audio Studios.
Newsroom
LCC's broadcast, print and online newsroom offers a space equipped with industry standard software and hardware.
The technical team helps students to develop skills across many digital and print production areas including:
- Wordpress CMS
- Podcasting
- Video and stills
- Cameras and mobile journalism
- Audio recorders
- Tools to engage with social media
- Online publishing
Media Lab
In this studio space, you'll have access to a range of television resources including:
- Lighting rig
- HD cameras
- Green screen capabilities
- Tricaster for live editing and broadcasting
Audio Studios
There are a number of audio studios that can be used for editing, pre-production and post-production of A/V content. You will have the tools and support you need to advance in all aspects of multi-platform journalism.
Please note: Resources may require inductions before allowing access and are prioritised for certain courses.
