Kay Politowicz(London Institute)
Kay Politowicz has been Course Director of B.A.(Hons) Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art and Design since 1987 and project director of Textiles Environment Design, a staff group of designers whose research has centred on issues concerning environmentally posiive approaches to the design and production of textiles.
Anne Smith (London Institute)
Anne Smith is Course Director of B.A.(Hons) Textile Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design since 2002. Prior to that she was Senior Lecturer at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Her research has investigated the effects of laser cutting and etching fabrics as well as water jet and plasma cutting.
Becky Early (London Institute)
Becky Early is Senior Research Fellow at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Her design practise concerns fabrics for fashion, using transfer printing .Research projects include investigation into natural indigo dye for The Eden Project, Cornwall.
Gary Page (London Insitute)
Gary Page is a Visiting Teacher on the B.A.(Hons) Textile Design course at Chelsea College of Art and Design.He is currently researching into natural indigo for the Eden Project, Cornwall and collaborated on ‘Mental ‘– an exhibition of work connecting art and science, Oxenhalle, Copenhagen 2001 and the I.C.A. London 2002.
Dr Frances Geesin (London Institute)
Dr. Geesin is Senior Research Fellow at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and London College of Fashion. She was awarded Gold Award for technical innovation with Scilla Speet by the Goldmith’s Design Council in 2002 and was consultant to Phillips Design from 1997 to 2000.
Dr Judit Kimpian (Foster Partnership )
Dr. Kimpian has investigated inflatable structures in her research and is part of the research and development team within the architectural practice.
Professor Clive Wilkinson ( Kings College – London University)
Professor Wilkinson is a visiting professor in the Department of Physics at Kings College. From 1990 to 2001 he was part of a research team including physicists and biologists at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory at Grenoble, France. Prior to that he led a research team at the Institut Laue- Langevin in Grenoble.
