This short booklet was designed and produced by CLIP CETL for busy teachers and support staff working with students.
International students make up a growing percentage of many courses of study in the arts and bring a rich creative resource into the studio. Many of the quotations in this booklet are from a research project exploring first year international students' perceptions of study at the University of the Arts London and they illustrate the key points we learned from the study about learning and teaching.

Website containing lots of information and advice for prospective International students. 'Life at the University of the Arts' section provides practical, cultural information to support students living in a new country and city. There are also pages on tuition fees, accommodation, and preparing for study at UAL.

Student Services provides advice and guidance on important issues such as finance; health and wellbeing; religion; disability; childcare; your career and more. They are committed to supporting students' progression and success by offering high quality services that are student-centred; impartial; accessible and confidential.

The Language Centre offers academic English tuition, tutorials for non native English speakers, proofreading, cultural awareness and modern languages training. We see all these services as vital in supporting the University as a whole since it has such a large proportion of overseas students and also high international aspirations.
