This checklist was created as part of the Inclusive Induction project at Camberwell and was aimed at providing tips for students on how to get the most out of a lecture. It was included as a resource, in the Art Area's student development folder.

Staff Crit Checklist Aide Memoire

This resource was created to support staff to facilitate a large, Art area cross course crit. The crits take place twice a year and involve aprox. 150 students and staff from Photography, Painting, Sculpture, Drawing and Ceramics working in small mixed groups to critique the work. Student feedback is generally very positive, they enjoy the opportunity to look at and discuss work from other disciplines. The aide memoire was used as a prompt for staff and to ensure that all students were accessing the same sort of entitlement on the day.

Camberwell Inclusive induction project

This checklist was created as part of the inclusive induction project at Camberwell 2008-9 in response to student feedback about not always feeling confident or adequately prepared to take part in crits. The range of crit types varies from course to course and sometimes term to term; from structured to semi structured, open discussions, pitches etc. This resource aims to focus students on the practical elements and prior planning tasks that might alleviate the anxiety sometimes associated with presenting work to a group.
