lcftech.com is an online technical resource for students and staff at London College of Fashion.

It contains information about the availability of technical resources, spaces and staff across all LCF sites :

Locations, opening times, access and induction requirements for equipment, health and safety information, staff who can help and contact information.

The site also contains technical videos and documents supporting various technical processes.

ICE BREAKER!

I use an ‘ice breaker’ introduction exersise at the start of a workshop or a series of sessions in a unit. It gives students an opportunity to express their interests, experience and any aims they might have with reference to the subject being studied so I can better meet their needs and requirements. It also gives them an opportunity to meet me and understand where I am coming from.

This is a pre-entry task that students starting Fashion Product Design & Development / Design & Craft Programs at LCF are given during the summer to prepare them for the Introduction to Study in Higher Education unit (ISHE). They are asked to select an object, which they personally find interesting as a focus for beginning research for the first term and duration of ISHE.

Log in using your UAL user & password and upload new or existing content to share with each other and the wider community. Help & support is available for all UAL staff & students to document your studio practice or studio inductions to share on process.arts

This is the full version of the Camberwell Inclusive Induction Project Handbook produced at the close of the first year of the project in June 2009. It contains lots of student testimonials and staff feedback, practical resources and suggestions for developing learning and teaching in the first year. A lot of the information has informed the shape of this website and resources can be found under the left hand themes.
