Fees and funding for students from India

As a student from India, you'll generally pay the Overseas category of tuition fees, but there are exceptions to this.

Scholarships, bursaries and awards

UAL offers scholarships, bursaries and awards provided through generous donations from individuals, companies and philanthropic charities, as well as from University funds.

As a student from India, you may be eligible for one of the scholarships listed below. You can also see the full range of funding available by using our Scholarships Search.

The GREAT Scholarships

The GREAT Scholarships are worth £7,000 each and available to four postgraduate students currently (and ordinarily) resident in India who meet the eligibility criteria.

To be eligible for the GREAT Scholarships students must: 

  • Qualify for the overseas tuition fee status AND
  • Be currently (and ordinarily) resident in India AND
  • Be accepted on any of the following courses at University of the Arts London, commencing September 2017:

                 - Postgraduate Diploma Design for Visual Communication
                 - Graduate Diploma Interior Design
                 - Graduate Diploma Photography
                 - Graduate Diploma Fine Art.

UAL Vice-Chancellor's Postgraduate International Scholarships

25 scholarships are available to applicants meeting eligibility criteria. A scholarship provides a £5,000 tuition fee remission for a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2017/18.

To be eligible for UAL Vice-Chancellor's Postgraduate International Scholarships tuition fee remission, you must: 

  • Have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2017/18
  • Qualify for the Overseas category of tuition fee status.
  • Have achieved (or are predicted to achieve) an upper second class honours degree (or a recognised equivalent as specified by the UK Government) or above at undergraduate level.
  • Have an annual household income of £55,000 or less (or the equivalent exchange value in the currency of your country of residence) at the point of scholarship application.
