Artquest is open, for free, to all professional visual artists and craftspeople who live and work in London. When you want to use Artquest, please do so as follows:
-
Check the Artquest website
Using the search facility and menu options, you should first of all check on the site to see if what you need is here. All the advice and information that Artquest holds is on this site; if you contact us we will first ask if you have checked the site. Although this site focuses on London-based opportunities and events, many of the sections will be useful for practitioners across the UK. -
Ask Artquest a question
If the information you require is not on the site, and you are a London-based practitioner, you can contact us with any query you may have relating to any aspect of your practice. Our Ask us a Question service, from the More Information section on each page, will direct you to our staff contact details. We try to answer all queries within 5 working days (depending on the complexity of your query and volume of enquiries). Please note that we prefer email questions, but if you do not have an email address you can contact us by phone, fax or minicom. -
One to One advisory sessions
A limited number of One to One sessions are organised every 2-3 months, and are either concerned with general career advice or targeted subjects. These can be booked via email, fax, telephone or minicom. Visit the Artquest training and events page to find out times and dates of current general and specialist advice sessions. All forthcoming Artquest events are dissemminated primarily through our monthly E-Letter. -
Artquest resources
You can book an appointment by email, telephone, fax or minicom to come into the Artquest offices and use our computers for free internet access. Booking contacts are in the Ask us a Question section. -
Training and seminar events
Special events are constantly developed by Artquest (alone and in partnership with other London arts organisations) throughout the year. Visit the Artquest training and events page to view a current timetable of upcoming events and the specialist subjects being covered. Once again, both one to one advice sessions and training and seminar events are for use by London artists and craftspeople; a London mailing address will be requested during booking.
The Artquest website is designed to be easy to use and simple to learn. If you have any comments about the useability of the Artquest website, please contact Russell Martin at (email) russell@artquest.org.uk, (tel) 020 7514 8357 or (fax) 020 7514 6211. We welcome any comments that help us make our service better.
Due to our funding restrictions, Artquest is unable to help the following people:
- Practitioners outside of London (who should contact their local Arts Council office) for England, the Scottish Arts Council in Scotland, Arts Council Northern Ireland for Northern Ireland and Arts Council Wales for Wales).
- Full- or part-time students, who should direct their questions to their course tutors.
- Practitioners not working in visual arts or crafts. We do not hold any information on theatre, architecture, dance or any other cultural activity.
