LCF Careers provides a comprehensive career management service supporting our alumni in their journey to become informed and self-reliant individuals able to plan and manage their own careers. LCF Careers offers alumni access to: one-to-one careers advice sessions for up to two years after graduation; Inside the Industry talks with expert practitioners; talent scouting for fashion and lifestyle recruitment; and access to LCF Careers Live, LCF's exclusive job listings and recruitment tool.
Our mentoring scheme is a voluntary programme. We look for mentors with professional experience within the creative fashion sector. As part of the Mentorship Programme, we offer our mentors training to ensure that they are confident in the role. Mentoring with LCF gives alumni opportunities for: building partnerships with LCF; skills development and CV enhancement; developing links with world class talent; and helping students to realise their potential.
The CSF hold monthly open mornings for LCF students and alumni (dates can be found on their website; email to book in); they run the Fire Up programme sharing invaluable research with fashion designer alumni; alumni can email the CSF team to be part of their network, to be invited to specific events such as the Ethics and Sustainability in Fashion APPG for which CSF are co-secretariat; LCF alumni have the opportunity to take part in the ERDF funded Creative Hub project which is a business support programme for SMEs.
Research at LCF thrives within the College's unique specialist environment and is supported and resourced by dedicated research facilities such as its world-class library and archive. Some research hub events are open to alumni, as are our programme of public lectures (including the Better Lives and Faith & Fashion series) which address topical and themed issues.
