London College of Fashion's International Recruitment Office is a course advisory and admissions service for students from outside the European Union. Our International Academic Coordinators are available throughout the year to advise students on their choice of course and interview applicants who have chosen to study at the College.

Advice sessions for international applicants

If you are a student from OUTSIDE the UK/EU, the LCF International Team is available to speak to you in person during our Course Advice Sessions which take place by appointment. Portfolio submission guidelines

Selection process

Selection is based initially on academic qualifications and/or previous experience and the student's personal statement. For equivalent International qualifications, you can consult the UCAS Guide. Students who cannot attend a face to face interview in London or with a UAL agent in their own country will be interviewed by telephone.

Students who have applied to courses with a design/visual content will be asked to bring a portfolio of art work with them to interview. Students who have applied to a non-portfolio based course may be asked to undertake a short written, mathematics or aptitude test prior to interview. Please check requirements in the individual course descriptions. Students who are not available for a face to face interview are required to submit examples of their art/design or written work with their application (electronically or by post). Portfolios, graduation certificates, academic transcripts and language score certificates cannot be returned so please do not send original work or original copies of these documents.

You may need to show proof of your English language ability to study with us. Most international students need to submit an English language test as proof of their language ability prior to joining their course. Make sure you research entry requirements in advance of making an application. Please visit the UAL English Language Requirements page for more information.
