Residential Summer Schools for 14-16 Year Olds
If you are considering a career in fashion design, garment making and textiles then this exciting fashion course will offer insight into how designers research, record and communicate their ideas.
If you love fashion but perhaps not interested in a career in design, then this two-week fashion media course will introduce you to the exciting worlds of PR, photography, catwalks, fashion journalism, styling and make up-artistry.
Our Residential Summer Schools for 14 - 16 year olds are a fantastic opportunity for students to experiment with new techniques, build confidence, acquire new skills and be inspired to learn more in the summer holidays. They offer a unique, fun learning experience in a safe environment, and are a great way to meet like-minded friends from around the world.
The courses are held at Shiplake College, Henley-on-Thames, where students will board with us for two weeks. On weekdays, students will take part in timetabled classroom-based learning, and in the evenings there will be optional, scheduled activities. On the Saturday mid-way through the course there will be an escorted day trip to London for a fashion ‘Retail Safari’.

Residential Summer School Feedback
The course was very interesting and gave me a great introduction into the fashion industry. The tutors were very good, and taught at the right level, and were interesting and knowledgable.
Eleanor, France. (Fashion Design and Making: Residential Summer School)
I found the course content to be very interesting and of high quality. It was taught very well and I was engaged in the class during the two weeks.
Farah, Australia (Fashion Design and Making: Residential Summer School)
I really loved the course. The content was great and I learned a lot of new skills that will help me with my textiles GCSE and skills that I can apply to other school subjects. The tutors (Heidi for the first week and Claire for the second week) were very helpful and genuinely wanted to help us improve our skills.
Madeleine, Isle of Man. (Fashion Design and Making: Residential Summer School)
The course was fantastic. I learnt so much about all the differnet roles in the industry. I loved learning so much about make-up and photography. I promise to keep updating my new blog!
