Introduction to the Fashion Industry for 16 to 18 Year Olds Short Course

Course description

Through practical workshops, lectures and seminars you will explore the industry, understand the opportunities on offer, and what you need to do to get to where you want to be.

A certificate of completion:

  • You've put the work in so we want to make sure you have something to show for it!
  • As long as you attend a minimum of 80% of your classes, we will provide you with a certificate of attendance.
  • However we always recommend you attend all of the classes so that you get the most out of the experience!
  • Certificates are a great addition to your CV

Materials

Onsite short course materials

In order to fully participate in the practical exercises please bring the following materials/equipment to the first class:

  • Notepad and pen
  • Laptop/iPad/tablet
  • 2-3 fashion magazines to cut up for an activity
  • Any fabric swatches of interest

Online short course materials

  • Laptop or PC
  • Pad and pen
  • Plain A4 paper
  • Coloured pens (5 Colours needed) any type

To take part in the Online sessions you will need:

  • An up-to-date web browser (we recommend Chrome)
  • Microphone and headphones (a headset with a microphone function is recommended. The built-in microphone in your device would also be fine).
  • Webcam
