What is the latest I can apply? Can I reserve a space?
Our courses are very popular and many fill up several weeks before they start. Book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Courses are small and places are limited. You must fully pay for a course in order to secure your place. If your employer is paying on your behalf your place won’t be confirmed until we have received a purchase order from your company.
Can we have a look around at the College/see the course before we book?
You’re welcome to come into the College (John Princes Street Room 111) and meet with one of our short course advisors. Due to the busy nature of the College you’re unable to look around our buildings prior to starting your course.
Most materials are included as part of the course fee, however, you may be asked to bring some materials along to your first lesson – these are listed on the course descriptions. We've created a list of suggested materials stockists in Central London.
What do I do on the first day?
You’ll receive an email confirming your booking and telling you where you need to go for your first class and what materials you need to bring. Please print off a copy of this email to gain access to the building. There will be a register at the reception desk of your site. This register will tell you which room number your course will take place in. Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start of your course.
Will I get a student card and access to the library and computers?
You’ll be able to use our library (for reference only) during the duration of your short course. Please bring your joining instructions to gain access to the building. Computer access is only provided to students who are participating in computer based classes. You won't receive a student card, however, please bring a copy of your joining instructions to gain access to our buildings.
Age & Level
We can’t take bookings from students under 18, except for those courses listed in our 'Online learning' or 'Short courses for under 18 year olds' sections.
Our short courses are for beginners, intermediates and advanced learners – everyone in other words. We run our classes so you can fit them around your other commitments; they’re held in the evenings, daytime, weekends or online.
Can I complete level 2 without level 1?
If you feel confident that you’re in possession of all the knowledge/skills covered in Level 1 then you’re welcome to book straight onto Level 2. Please read the course descriptions thoroughly as you cannot change your course once it has started.
The short course location is specified alongside dates/time. We have 6 sites across London:
In addition we run a portfolio of short courses in Dubai.
