Introduction to Fashion Design: Summer School
This London College of Fashion Study Abroad Summer School is aimed at students wanting to know more about fashion design.
A series of units aimed at fashion design, product and industrial design students wishing to push their creativity and expand their skills to make inspired fashion products for real people.
you are 18+ and a student

you work, or aspire to work in a creative industry
or
you have an interest in fashion, art and design
and
you want to study and live in London for 14 weeks.
Duration: 14 weeks
Class hours: Min 120 hours / max 160 hours
Non-class hours: Min 120 hours / max 160 hours
Credit value: Min 12 credits / max 16 credits

You will enrol on 3 mandatory units and then may select elective units, to total a maximum of 16 credits. A fashion and culture field trip to Paris is included. The Spring 2024 semester is planned to be delivered primarily at London College of Fashion’s Stratford location. Teaching locations are subject to change. Individual student timetables will be shared during the course induction week.
Fashion History and Artefact (2 Credits) - Mandatory
British Cultural Studies (2 Credits) - Mandatory
Theoretical and Contemporary Fashion Studies (2 Credits) - Mandatory
Creative Visual Communication (3 Credits)
You should be proficient in written and spoken English and be able to participate in group discussions and make presentations. As a guideline we would expect you to have an English language level equivalent to IELTS score of 6.0 and at least 5.5 in each skill.

Students applying for this course are expected to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
