Hackett Visual Merchandising Project
LCF BA Visual Merchandsing students created a new retail concept for eight store Hackett windows across London.
A live industry linked project with second year BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories: Product Design and Innovation students, BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Innovation students and Tommy Hilfiger.
Taking inspiration from the Tommy Hilfiger 2013 ‘Prep Passport’ trend directions for sportswear, students selected themes from Nautical Prep, Ethnic Prep, Safari Prep to Exotic Prep, whilst remaining true to the Tommy Hilfiger Brand Identity.
Students were challenged to design a range for the pre-autumn 2013 season, which was delivered into stores in April/May 2013. The students were asked to consider pre-autumn as an in-between season and design to achieve a “buy now wear now” effect which is becoming more and more important in the fashion world.
