LCF x UN BioTrade Initiative
London College of Fashion’s Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) has an established relationship with the United Nations Council for Trade and Development, through their BioTrade Initiative – a programme of work that promotes biodiversity across various industries and economies.
2010 CSF is keynote speaker at the sustainable luxury conference at the UN headquarters in Geneva.
2011 The UN support the Fashioning the Future Awards, bringing biodiversity to the forefront of design thinking and engaging an international community of emerging fashion professionals.
2012 CSF and the UN work with students from MA Fashion Footwear and MA Fashion and the Environment experimenting and prototyping with a number of niche materials that promote biodiversity when sourced responsibly.
2012 LCF students present their findings at a workshop involving some of the world’s leading luxury brands.
2013 CSF enters a partnership to contribute to the Responsible Ecosystems Sourcing Platform.
