Foundation Plus and the CSM Museum and Study Collection have worked together again this year on their Co-Create project.
Students worked in mixed discipline pairs (based on the pathways they will follow after the course) and used the methods of Object Based Learning to approach unusual objects from the museum collection. This year’s objects included high-heeled wellington boots, sculptures made from apples and psychedelic suits.
Object Based Learning is a technique designed to help the students interrogate objects, encouraging them to be open to objects they are unfamiliar with and to use their own knowledge and emotional responses when discussing art and design work.
Each pair of students made a response to the museum piece they worked with, displayed on banners in the window, and their innovative outcomes show their imaginations hard at work.
Come and peak through the Museum window to see the objects hidden behind the posters!
This exhibition will run from 7 August - 15 September.
