Increasingly artworks aren’t experienced first-hand, but through websites, publications and social media. Such mediation governs our expectations about direct encounters with artworks.
Dream Works presented the work of Lydia Davies, Chris Ifould, Piotr Krzymowski, Sean Lavelle, Asta Meldal Lynge, Cameron Scott, Tilly Shiner and Nikhil Vettukattil.
These artists are the first group of CSM graduates to be supported by the Acme Studios/CSM Associate Studio Programme. Developed in 2013 as a collaboration between Acme Studios and Central Saint Martins, through the research project Double agents, the Associate Studio Programme is a unique, pro-active and long-term initiative providing affordable studio space and a programme of studio visits by artists, writers and curators to graduates of the BA Fine Art course at CSM.
