The role of Interaction and Sound Design Tutor is filled by Stuart Jones.

He is a former AHRC fellowship holder and winner of the Whitney Biennial Bucksbaum Award. He was a founder member of Gentle Fire and worked with Cage, Stockhausen, and others of the American and European avant garde in the late sixties and early seventies.

Later, Stuart lived with desert nomads and worked with Ghana’s master drummer. He was a trustee of the London Musicians’ Collective and played with British Summer Time Ends and Kahondo Style. He has studied the pi’pa with the distinguished Malaysian musician Seng Chew Khor, and now plays several non-European instruments, including the Biwa and the Guzheng.

He is currently working on a series of compositions called Common British Birds. He is a PhD supervisor at Central Saint Martins and London College of Communication.
