Orestes Chouchoulas

Spatial Practices Programme; Stage 3 Associate Lecturer, BA Architecture: Spaces and Objects

I am a designer and teacher. I studied architecture at the University of Bath. My PhD research, conducted within the Centre for Advanced Studies in Architecture, concerned the development of “Shape Evolution”, a computer-supported methodology for conceptual architectural design combining shape grammars and genetic algorithms.

I have lectured and tutored in architectural design and the use of digital technologies in architecture at the University of Bath, and the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design at the London Metropolitan University. I currently teach at Oxford Brookes University and Central Saint Martins.

I have worked for large and small practices specialising in residential architecture. I currently direct a small interdisciplinary design studio in London, working across graphic design, photography, film-making, and architectural design.
