Product, Ceramic and Industrial Design Programme; Applied Technology Tutor, BA Ceramics.
I teach across the BA Ceramic Design course, with a specialist focus on design relating to technologies including clay, glazes and production. I produce work mainly for public and private commission and employ a wide range of ceramic techniques and scale; from high-relief murals to domestic and sculptural forms for internal or external locations.
I also work as an artist in residence in schools, hospitals and on community projects and enjoy facilitating commissions that engage a wider public. This I am able to do as co-director of Clayground Collective, which is a UK independent arts organisation established to realise Project Clay - a venture to create public space in London 2014. The pots I make are always wheel-thrown and are usually made of composites, as it’s the joining together and manipulation of clay that provide me with the satisfaction of the making process.
