Graphic Communication Design Programme; Stage 2 Leader and Acting Route and Subject Leader: Design & Interaction (Stage 1 & 2), BA Graphic Design.
I gained a BA in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins (2000). Since graduating I have worked as a designer for a number of design studios gaining experience across a broad spectrum of design fields producing brand and identity implementation, interface design and publications across both print and digital media. As a freelance designer I have a number of clients within the charity sector including medical, human-rights and legal aid which have fuelled my passion for research, practice and seen my work specialise within the information and experience design field.
I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and have taught on the BA [Hons] Graphic Design Programme since 2003 working with students across all stages of the programme including BA and MA. I have delivered a number of short courses in Graphic Design and I work closely with the Retention and Progression department within the university. In 2008 I gained a distinction for my Post Grad in Teaching and Learning in Art & Design in which I researched peer assisted learning in creative environments.
I am currently studying for my MA in Academic Practice at the UAL Centre for Learning and Teaching Art and Design where I am researching inclusivity and sustainability within both the curriculum and the design field.
