Biography

My practice focuses on experimental performances, often using technology in surprising ways. I have worked across theatre, film and interactive installation, with a number of shows on national tours and I regularly collaborate with artists such as spoken-word poet Polarbear and theatre company Slung Low. My collaboration with Slung Low on Helium won the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award and as part of Indian Runner we won the New Discovery Prize at the International Mime Festival in Périgueux, France. Venues include the Roundhouse Studio and the Barbican Centre. My recent work will feature in the permanent exhibition galleries of the V&A.

My work has been shown at venues such as The Roundhouse and Barbican in London, and at the UK Design for Performance exhibition at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. My latest work will be part of a permanent exhibit at the V&A's new Europe 1600-1800 Galleries, opening in December 2014.

I hold an MA in Fine Art (Theatre) from the Slade School of Art and studied Theatre Design at Central Saint Martins prior to that. In addition to working on the Foundation Course, I teach on the BA Performance Design & Practice at CSM and have taught Production Design for film at Wimbledon College of Art and Goldsmiths University.
