Biography

I am a contemporary art critic, editor and lecturer. I am the former senior editor of Afterall journal, where I worked as an editor and researcher from 2012–16. Prior to this, I held curatorial positions at the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at the New School in New York and the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona.

I write for journals such as Afterall, Moving Image Review & Art Journal, Cahiers du Cinéma and Concreta, and have curated exhibitions at Gasworks and The Showroom in London, amongst others.

I hold an MA (with distinction) in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art in London, as well as an MA in Contemporary Film and Media Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. I am currently a PhD candidate at University College London, researching how feminist theories of embodiment intersect with contemporary art’s shifting understanding of materiality since the 1960s.
