Chris Evans

Fine Art Programme; 3D Pathway tutor, BA Fine Art

My work often evolves through conversations with people from diverse walks of life, selected in relation to their public life or symbolic role: the directors of a leading champagne house, a former member of the British Constructivists, a selection of elderly Italian politicians etc. Sculptures, letters, drawings, film scripts and unwieldy social situations created as a result, are indexes of a larger structure through which I set out to confuse the roles of artist and patron, genius and muse.

My recent solo exhibitions include: CLODS, Diplomatic Letters Juliette Jongma, Amsterdam (2012); Goofy Audit Luettgenmeijer, Berlin (2011); The Cell That Doesn't Believe In The Mind That It's Part Of, Marres, Maastricht (2010); Take A Bureaucratic Bow Objectif Exhibitions, Antwerp (2009).
