Biography

I was born in Florence, graduated from the University of Bologna, Disciplines of Arts DAMS and then attended the MA Fine Art Central Saint Martins.

I work mostly with installations, photography and performative art; my research is especially focused on magic, popular culture and collective imagination.

I participated in several exhibitions such as the project 'Italian Wave', Artissima, Turin; Biennial of Young Mediterranean Artist, Fiera del Levante, Bari; Swiss Cube, Swiss Institute in Rome. In 2009 I attended a residence program at Platform Garanti, Istanbul and one at Fondazione Spinola Banna, Turin.

Why did you decide to study at Central Saint Martins?

I decided to study at Central Saint Martins in order to develop and complete my studies in visual arts at an International level. I also wanted to live for a while in London - the city and the school were the perfect combination.

What was the best bit about living and studying in London?

High-standard exhibitions, a network of international artists, the opportunity of a constant challenge.

What top tips would you give to students who are beginning their studies?

They should enjoy the city as a source of inspirations and confrontations. Discover Discover Discover!

And for students about to graduate?

They should focus on how to present their work and get in and out some specific strategies. They should not force or press their work with stress, concentrate and bring the work to a challenging point. Also take some risks!

What are you up to now? How did you get there?

At the moment I am living in Italy, my native country, but in a different city from the one where I was born. I am living in Milan, I moved here a year and half after my graduation. I am continuing my practice in the studio and I participate in several exhibitions and art projects.

How has Central Saint Martins helped in your chosen career path?

Central Saint Martins helped me a lot in order to specify my personal interest into a professional research.
