I graduated from University of Delaware in 2013 with a Major in Mass Communications and minors in Spanish and Fashion History.
I’ve spent the past four years in New York working for luxury Italian footwear brand Aquatalia. I began as the sample coordinator and was lucky enough that the brand’s founder and VP of Sales saw potential in me. I was quickly promoted to Sales Assistant, where I worked alongside the VP of Sales in managing our major department stores and the off-price channel. For my review, I wrote in my personal goals that while I was enjoying learning sales, I would love to gain a better understanding of the bigger picture by working with Marvin, our founder.
I spent the next year working along his side and was thrown into nearly every role imaginable. While still assisting the entire Sales team and acting as the associate account executive on all majors, I was also introduced to production, became our planner, and assisted the merchandising team as well. In my next review I was promoted to Account Executive and gained Amazon, Zappos, all of the Off-Price channel, and the West Coast independents as my own accounts. I also managed Russell & Bromley (both with Marvin before his retirement, and as my own account afterward). When Russell & Bromley learned I would be coming to the UK for this program, they offered to hire me. We're still working on exactly what my role will be with them, but I am excited to learn the buying side of this business.
