The way things are and the way things should be

Emil says “the project is based on my childhood. Looking back I’ve pondered on the absurdities I went through in terms of standardised education. I started my final year of Central Saint Martins researching the subject of animation legends and their relationship with their childhood and their influences. I ended up making a 7 minute animation, a satire on the Icelandic educational system. The visuals are based on epic landscapes from Iceland and the contrast with the uniformity of my childhood education. The goal was to make epic imagery with epic sound.”
