Description

On this course you will learn and develop key professional hands on 'freehand' drawing skills that are essential for a product, furniture and Industrial designer. The drawing skills learnt may be used to express initial ideas to oneself or others, from fast initial brainstorming sketches and idea development, freehand perspective drawings, detail development drawings to presentation and communication of ideas and designs to other professionals in presentation concept drawings and 'client' marker rendered visualisation.

This course would benefit those that feel that they really need to learn or top up their freehand drawing skills in the context of using these skills to initiate, develop and communicate proposed ideas and finished designs in industrial design practise.

Student may expand their skills further in project form on the Furniture Design for Beginners Course by Rock Galpin, develop their drawing skills with Drawing for Product Designers (technical drawing), or continue to Furniture Design- Design Development- Intermediate 2, Furniture Design- Materials & Model Making- Intermediate 3.

This course will aide budding graduate or undergraduate designers, those with strong interest in the subject to those in industry who need or want to advance these particular essential design skills.

The course will be run by the established and practicing product and furniture designer, Rock Galpin, with specialised tuition from an additional specialist in presentation illustration and marker techniques.
