This new online course is aimed at students planning a study of architecture and spatial design related fields. Also individuals who are new to architecture and who are keen to learn and use Rhino in their studies. This course will cover the basics of modelling in Rhinoceros 3D, printing and rendering and constructing 2D drawings. It is aimed to help students to get started.
By attending this course you will gain new skills in 3D modelling through Rhino. The course will be taught through a series of balanced theoretical and practical tutorials were they are asked to build a 3D model. While on this course, you will learn to use Rhino to produce a 2D drawing and build a 3D model, as well as rendering and printing your project. The environment will grow week by week as the tutor provides expert teaching and commentary on the subject in a virtual classroom accessible 24/7. The live sessions are supported and sharing session to the work undertaken by students in-between sessions. You will build confidence and your ability to use Rhino 3D modelling by being introduced to the program and its many tools. And by direct application of these tools in an individually developed project that takes you through the basics of design modeling process in Rhino from an idea to final outcome.
Week 1 Introduction to the course - Rhino interface - tool bar - command tabs?
Week 2 Viewports - Rhino objects - commands
Week 3 Modelling - creating surfaces, loft curves
Week 4 Modelling - edit- transforms
Week 5 3D Modelling - tools
Week 6 2D Drawing - tools
Week 7 Render and print
