Description

Simple and practical techniques in jewellery such as piercing, filing, soldering, simple fittings and finishes will be taught, with an emphasis on developing confidence and realising the potential for making jewellery with limited access to equipment and skills. Silver will be supplied as part of the course. The aim is for students to produce some finished work. Students should bring overalls with them.

Tutor information

Angela Cork is an established Silversmith and Jeweller who has shown work in many prestigious galleries. Her work can also be seen in Public collections including the Birmingham Museum and City Art gallery, The Goldsmith's Company Collection and The P&O Makower Collection in The National Museum of Wales.  She is a tutor at Bishopsland Workshops - a recognised residency for Jewellers and Silversmiths and her studio is based in London's Kingsgate Workshops. Please bring with you to the first session:

  • An apron
  • Sketchbook
  • Pencils
  • Eraser
  • Sensible footwear ie. no 'open toe' sandals
  • Hair band (if you have long hair).
