Topics covered

  • We will look into practical exercises and techniques that will unlock Shakespeare's text and free the actor in you.
  • We will explore verse, prose movement and ensemble work.
  • You will soon realise how simple it actually can be.

You should leave the course feeling confident and proud of your improved acting abilities.

This course is suitable for complete beginners thinking of studying acting at higher levels as well as those who just want to have some fun exploring Shakespeare's texts.

Tutor information

Tom McClane is a professional actor who trained at Central Saint Martin's Drama Centre. He has taught extensively at many drama schools in London and worked for some of the leading British theatre companies.

  • Comfortable clothes to move in
  • A memorised Shakespeare speech
