Following on from our Textile Design Workshop Part 1 course, in this second part you will continue to learn how to translate your designs from paper onto fabrics.  You will explore a variety of techniques in textile printing. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, the course will give you the tools to explore and refine your own concepts.

Related courses

Students may attend this course independently of part 1. However, to build a substantial portfolio attendance of both courses is advised.

Tutor information

After completing a degree in Fashion Textiles at Central Saint Martins, Dominique L'Olive moved on to be a studio manager where she developed and created designs for the UK, Japan and the US. She has since worked with many different companies such as the V&A, Jigsaw, Style Council and Dorothy Perkins, producing a range of textile designs. Dominique currently works as a freelance textile and surface pattern designer and teaches on a range of textile courses at the University of the Arts London.


Materials

Please bring to the first session:

  • Pair of rubber gloves
  • Apron (or old shirt)
  • HB pencil to draw with
  • A4 Sketchbook
