Description

Do you own an analogue camera but don't take any pictures with it? Have you found or inherited an old camera that you would like to use? Are you looking to buy a 2nd hand analogue camera and not sure what type to choose?

This workshop is deigned to encourage the use/resurrection of supposedly redundant analogue cameras. We will discuss the pros and cons of many high quality cameras that can be bought very cheaply 2nd hand. There will be a selection of cameras available to use but students are also encouraged to bring their own to experiment with.

Whether it is a rangefinder, SLR, or plate camera, students will be shown how to shoot, process and make prints from them. We will also look at breathing new life into redundant film format cameras by modifying or converting them. While making use of CSM's excellent darkroom facilities we will also be discussing the options available for the enthusiast to keep working with their cameras.
